The village
is a place of great beauty and tranquility, where
one can get away from the hustle and
bustle of every day living, with local
attractions including the Cliffs of
Moher, Aillwee Caves and the Burren
Centre.
|

You
will also find some of the most spectacular,
unspoilt, scenic countrside and coastline
around Doolin and the West Coast of Co.Clare.
Cliffs of Moher

Just 2 miles south of Doolin are the majestic
Cliffs of Moher, battling daily with the
Atlantic ocean. They rise in places to over
700 feet. A visitor centre is open all year
round.
Four miles east of Doolin is Lisdoonvarna,
Ireland's only Spa town, famous for its
unique mineral baths, the centre features
sulphur baths, etc.
The
Burren
Doolin
is on the fringe of the World Famous Burren,
(meaning Great Rock), a remarkable limestone
area which has a combination of many visual
features that make it unique in Europe.
Its geology, flora, caves, archaeology
and history set it apart as a place of mystery
and beauty - an explorer's dream. In addition
the Burren has many tourist attractions
like the under ground wonder of Aillwee
Caves, Poulnabrone Dolmen and The Burren
Display Centre in Kilfenora which helps
unravel many of the Burren's mysteries.
A visit to the Aran Islands is only 20
minutes on the Doolin Ferry. This is a world
forgotten in time, perched on the very edge
of the Western world where Gealic is still
spoken.
Other

and Local activities include golf, pitch
& putt, fishing, caving, walking, cycling,
